Diane
Cliff was born in Ontario, Canada in 1949. Having a painting
exhibited in the Laguna Beach, California Arts Festival at
the age of 12 was an early start in her art passions. Diane
is a wide range artist going into spaces and creating a
“statement” or “narrative” in an architectural art and
interior art design capacity. Developing art for such
clients as, Snowbird Iron Blosam Lodge where a 20’ painting
was commissioned through a selection committee was completed
in 2002. “Cliff Falls” was an example of her design
developing skills.
Diane Cliff is a contemporary artist her medium is mainly
acrylic on canvas. Her projects have taken her to a wide
range of mediums. She has won awards in the Deseret News
“Colors of the Land” art show and has been selected by the
Springville Museum of Art in 2002; 2003, and 2004. The CEO
of Dell Computer project took Diane to Florida to work with
the design team on a 62 - art piece project. Diane is also a
master in framing breaking the conventional framing
boundaries.
Diane started skiing at age 10. Her passion in skiing lead
her to Utah in 1972 to teach skiing at Park West. As in
skiing miles and miles of snow and in painting miles and
miles of canvas Diane has enjoyed the “silk” in the visions,
vistas and horizons. Her visuals on canvas depict her love
for Utah and her mountain life. Diane’s art statement is:
“The well is deep and I love art because it is never
ending.”
